Applying for your CITB number
The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) provides training subsidies for construction workers who live in South Australia. To get this subsidy you need to apply for, and be granted a CITB eligible worker number. You can apply for your own number, and for your employees numbers, online. We recommend applying for the CITB number for each of your employees as soon as they start working for you, this will save you time when you come to make bookings with us.
This is a step by step guide to applying for a CITB number in the quickest and easiest way.
- Go to the CITB's website http://www.citb.org.au
- On the right-hand side of the screen there is a 'button' marked "Apply for CITB Number", click on it.
- Fill in the requested fields and submit it before 3 pm to enable you to get the CITB
number the next day (if you submit it on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday it should be ready by the following Monday).
- The next day, call Jennie Goodwin at
the CITB (8172 9514) to get your number.
When you fill in the online form you will need the following:
- The applicant's full name, date of birth, job title &
residential address
- Your business details (including the business' CITB number if possible).
- The approximate amount of work the person does in the
housing, commercial and civil construction areas
in SA.
The approval of eligible worker numbers is solely at the discretion of the CITB, if you disagree with their decision you will need to discuss it with them.

Who do you speak to about.......
We know that everyone likes to speak with Harry, but there are some areas where he is not the best person to talk to.
If you would like to book onto a public course, or if you would like any information about our courses and facilities, the people to speak with are Nicole and Kylie. They are the CITC's Enrolment Officers
as well as your first port of call. They will generally know what courses are available, how much they are and general course information. If
they don't know the answer to your query, they will be able to
put you in touch with someone
who will!
You can either call our office to speak with them on (08) 8443 6633, or email them at either nicole@citc.com.au or kylie@citc.com.au .

*A Quick Reminder*
At the change of the financial year (June 30) the prices for our courses will change. This is due to the changes that the CITB annually make to their subsidies for CITB eligible participants. Unfortunately the CITB has not as yet notified us of the new prices, so we are unable to give you this information.
At the moment our letters for courses that start after June 30 have 'To Be Advised' in the price column. We will contact all of those people and companies who have bookings on these courses
to notify them of the price as soon as we can.
Thank you all for your patience with this matter.
